ContentPierre Fournier sends to the publishers corrections of the fingering and strokes in the solo cello part for Martinů's CONCERT [PRO VIOLONCELLO AND ORCH. no. 1, H 196 III]. Because of the importance of the changes, PF asks that after the changes have been entered, one more proofread be sent to him for checking before printing. Could they send it quickly?
5.10.: PF has just seen Bohuslav Martinů, who is passing through Paris to New York. BM is very happy with PF's edits to the cello part and has asked PF to ask the publishers to send proofs of the piano lift and orchestral parts to him, Bohuslav Martinů, in New York. PF also asks that the publisher send him the complete material, in addition to the score he already has, to Paris (he asks for 6 first violin parts, 5 second violin parts, 4 viola parts, 4 cello parts, 2 double bass parts and complete winds). PF will play this new version for the first time in Lausanne on 5/12 with a chamber orchestra.
