ContentBecause of his illness, Jindřich Honzl is only now answering a letter from October 1949. Bohuslav Martinů is looking for material for an opera and mentions JULIETTE. JH agrees that no opinion on art that cannot be expressed simply is reliable. He writes about the current conditions in our country and considers for whom to write a new opera. He appreciates the greatness and simplicity in the works of the Russian classics.
