Content and physical description
ContentPaul Stoss knows Sergei Koussevitzky's penchant for first performances of exceptional works, and would like to draw his attention to an unusual opportunity. The eminent American violinist Samuel Dushkin has exclusive performance rights to two works - the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by the Spanish composer Rudolf Halffter and the Suite for Violin and Orchestra by the Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů [CONCERTANT SUITE FOR VIOLIN AND ORCHESTRA, H 276 I]. Mr. Dushkin will be delighted to appear as soloist alongside the Boston Symphony Orchestra in a performance of either of these works.
NoteWritten on a letterhead: Concert Management Paul H. Stoes, Inc. affiliated with SGN Concerts / 745 Fifth Avenue / New York City. A transcription from the summary of the Kusevickij-Dushkin correspondence in the Library of Congress by Judith Fiehler, January 11, 2000, is also deposited at IBM
