Content and physical description
ContentSam [meaning Samuel Dushkin] wanted to write it himself, but he's just back from tour and is in bed with the flu. He is very excited about the new "Suite de Concert" for violin and orchestra by Bohuslav Martinů [CONCERT SUITE FOR VIOLIN AND ORCHESTRA, H 276 I] . The orchestration was not finished when LD left Europe, but he now has the full score. The piece has 5 movements and will last about 20 minutes. Sam considers the piece a most wonderful and valuable contribution to the violin and orchestral literature and would be delighted to play the piece with SAK! SAK is said to be coming to New York, could Sam show him the score of the Martinů?
