Content and physical description
Content[A fragment of the letter is preserved only in the quotation by Jiří Mucha in the book Strange Loves] Vítězslava Kaprálová is working on finishing the Partita, because Bohuslav Martinů has already cut the fugue and the third repetition from the finished work, so she still has to rework it. BM is very troublesome for her as far as composing is concerned. Another letter came from America asking for all the papers and a photograph for publication in the American press, which would then make her situation there easier. Still, she would prefer to return to the Czechoslovakia. But everyone discourages her from doing so.
Transcription of the letter
