Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kaprálová complains about delayed correspondence. She is working a lot now, already writing the third movement of XY [Concertina for violin, clarinet and orchestra]. Yesterday she had dinner with [Jiří] Mucha, [Ludvík] Kundera and [Edgar] Hauner, and afterwards they were looking for an apartment for M+K [?] and [Rudolf] Firkušný. Neither she nor Bohuslav Martinů could help [Pavel] Haas in any way, unless he played the piano somewhere or collaborated on something for the film with his brother [Hugo Haas]. There are a lot of unemployed people in Paris now. They are waiting anxiously to hear what [Adolf] Hitler will say today. Yesterday [he and BM] went to see [Charles] Munch, but they didn't arrange anything because he no longer has his orchestra and only conducts at the conservatory. She wrote a letter of thanks to the Pešek Quartet [for the performance of her quartet], [Břetislav] Bakala is to be told personally. BM joins in VK's greetings and tells them not to worry about her.
