Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kapralová is already healthy. On Saturday she was with Bohuslav Martinů at the Legation [Embassy of the Czechoslovakia in Paris]. She didn't need anything, just BM was there to take care of something, so she went with him. She spoke there with [Josef] Palivec, Steigerhofer [?], [Jiří] Nosek and [Vladimír] Outrata. How did Václav Kapral like the Melodrama and the Elegy? Elegy and Burlesque will be performed in Lille, and Burlesque and perhaps Legend at the Sorbonne. They'll send her the sheet music for the Burlesque and Legend. He's very busy with the Partita. If Kalmus doesn't take it, he'll offer it to Schott. She must write a letter of thanks to [Emil] Axman [for interceding for the prize from the Svatobor]. The news of Prof. Novotny's death [?] surprised her. Next VK describes the events of the past few days, and her plans. She goes to school on Tuesday. She must arrange something at any cost. BM greets them, and directs VK to forbid all printers to accept works for publication from Václav Kaprál after the news of the receipt of 2000 CZK [from Svatobor].
