ContentVítězslava Kaprálová recapitulates the events of the previous days, starting with her departure (with Bohuslav Martinů) from Paris and ending with her planned visit to the ZOO. Wanda Jakubíčková, who also booked their hotel, is their guide in London. In a note, ["Chief Supervisor"] BM judges both rehearsals [of the Military Symphony with the BBC Orchestra - 16 June at 11:45 and 17 June at 10am] to be very successful and praises the performance of the CONCERT WITH CYMBAL in Paris. After the first rehearsal, they went to see the Press Attaché Dr. Kraus [František R. Kraus?] for a lecture, and then at 9 o'clock participated in the live telecast for the opening ceremony of the Festival. The next day BM had to wake her up so she wouldn't miss the 10 a.m. dress rehearsal, whereupon they met the "Habs" and went together to see the envoy [Jan Masaryk]. But she did not attend the Daily Telegraph reception, she was too tired. Then in the evening she opened the concert immediately after the anthem. BM's transcript gives a very positive assessment of her performance. However, VK did not like the other numbers.
