Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kaprálová comments on the current political situation [annexation of Austria, etc.] and criticises reviews of the performance of her Variations on the Bells of the Church of St-Etienne-du-Mont [27 March 1938, Brno]. She is now in a hurry to be home at 12, as ordered by Bohuslav Martinů. Composing is not going well - what she writes, BM crosses out, but what she crosses out, he likes. BM probably won't go to Three Wells, but it's not certain. He [Václav] Talich wrote to her and enclosed a letter from the Secretary of the Minister of Education, so the scholarship looks promising. She has already sent the application [for the scholarship]. She won two birds in a raffle, which she will go and collect. When is Rena [Helfert-Trtilkova] due to arrive?
