Content and physical description

Content	Bohuslav Martinů's diary written in 1943 in Darien [and, according to Miloš Šafránek, also later in 1944 in New York]. It consists of reflections and notes on various topics - from the creative process to the ability to concentrate, the question of analysis, musical form, emotion, inspiration, interest and sentimentality. Compared to later diary entries, the text is much fragmented. Thematically cohesive reflections are scarce [Miloš Šafránek therefore did not include many passages in Bohuslav Martinů - Home, Music and the World, as they were often discussed more systematically in later reflections].
