Content and physical description
ContentRudolf F. Kallir has been in contact with Bohuslav and Charlotte Martinů for the past two weeks. They discovered that the manuscript of the composition was unavailable and found only a facsimile. The sketches of the works, which BM thought were already in New York, are still in Czechoslovakia. But BM had sketches of THE SMITH SEXTET, so he met with RFK, who was enthusiastic about the work. It is a work that was dedicated to Elisabeth Sprague-Coolidge. BM was very sorry that he could not offer him the complete manuscript, but promised to send the work when it was finished. RFK therefore asked Nathan von Patten to send BM a letter of thanks.
