Content	The Municipal National Committee in Polička writes to Josef Švager, Deputy Minister of Culture, regarding the transport of Bohuslav Martinů's remains to Polička. Interest in Polička as the birthplace of BM is still growing. His work is perceived as part of the national cultural heritage, and BM's creative legacy continues to be popularised at home and abroad. BM's fame also means the representation of the city. BM himself was aware that he was firmly attached to Polička and the Highlands. An example is the world premiere of THE OPENING OF THE STUDIOS, which took place in 1956 in Polička. BM lived his last months with his patrons Paul and Maja Sacher in Schönenberg - Pratteln, where he is buried. During his lifetime, however, he wanted to return home. To celebrate the 85th anniversary of BM's birth, they would like to transport BM's remains to Polička. The solution of this problem exceeds the possibilities and competences of the town of Polička, so they ask the Ministry of Culture for help. It has been decided that the grave of BM's parents and siblings and his grave may remain permanently in the old cemetery. The necessary space will be made available and the double tomb will be placed in a more suitable location. At the same time, informative discussions with the Czech Music Fund are beginning.
