Content and physical description
Content[Jaroslav] Mihule last contacted Charlotte Martinů from his travels in Bulgaria and Romania. She had also written several times to Saša [Večtom] and sent him all the music of Bohuslav Martinů from the Parisian publishers. It was very expensive to send the parcel. They should have shared the scores with [Josef] Páleníček and [Ivan] Štraus, but instead they sold them to musicians in Brno. ChM asked SV to give the money to JM, who helped ChM a lot. At the beginning of June she was visited by JP and [Richard] Klos, who is now the director of the Czech Music Fund. ChM thought he was the man in the right place and that he would deal with Supraphon matters. [Jaroslav] Šeda wrote to her that he would publish an English edition of her book in 1975, which upset her because the American professor had gone to a lot of trouble with it. Nevertheless, she had 50 copies printed, which she will take with her to Zurich. She is also now busy with the translation into French, which also costs a lot of money. She also asked JP what is the name of the duo who wish to bear the name BM. She would like to answer their letter. RK will be going to Paris after the holidays to try and sort out some issues. She also thinks she might give him the books by [Antoine de] Saint-Exupéry that [Anna] Spacek asked her to give him. She is sorry that Novotný has died. She also has news from [Zdeněk] Zouhar, who has been operated on five times. ChM is also going to the Pratteln Mass, which she has postponed to 24 August because of [Rudolf Firkušný's] recital. She would also be interested in the fate of the SONATA FOR TWO PIANOES AND A PIANO.
