Content and physical description
ContentMartinů composed ZBOJNICKÉ PÍSNĚ and describes in detail his interpretive requirements. He gives Venhoda freedom regarding tempo and dynamics, but advises him to avoid adding harmonies. He asks Venhoda to let him know the approximate date of the premiere so that the choruses can also be performed elsewhere in Europe. If they make a recording, MV should send it to him. BM was greatly influenced by a book by the gentleman from Vysočina [Stanislav Augusta?]; he asks who that is. He will return the book to him later.
