ContentCharlotta Martinů met the Večtom family in Nice. She agrees that Bohuslav Martinů's music should be heard in the film about [Josef] Šíma. She does not reach him by telephone, but replies that she agrees to the proposal. When ChM goes to Prague in January, he will have a meeting with Dr. Novotny about the film. ChM also wrote to Šip but received no reply. It remains to be seen what will happen with the book, as [Vladimir] Musil was also unavailable. Mario Bois is no longer working at Éditions Salabert. ChM is saddened by the situation of Karel Ančerl. He asks Karl Šebánek to call [Zdeněk] Pechold and tell him that ChM has not yet received anything from Bärenreiter. He also sends information about the bank account where the money for the copyright should arrive. ChM has already discussed this situation with ZP. She also received a letter from Anna Špáček who was sad that she had not met with KS. A film about Bohuslav Martinů will be finished at the beginning of July - it was filmed in Paris and in Vieux Moulin with Georges Neveux. [Jaroslav] Mihule also took part in the filming. ChM is returning to Switzerland for the Mass for BM, which is being held in Liestal. He will discuss the $200 payment situation with KS in January.
