Content and physical description
ContentJan Novák decided to give up composing, but [Bohuslav] Martinů talked him out of it because he had the impression that JN had talent, which JN doubts very much at the moment. BM took him apart and told him that a new environment can affect one. BM himself said he hardly wrote for 2 years after coming to Paris. BM gave examples from his life and talked like he had never talked before. So JN said he would give it another try.
