ContentMarie Martinů quotes a letter from Bohuslav Martinů concerning the VIOLONCELL CONCERT [No.1], which BM revised in its entirety on the basis of listening to it in Paris, because there were many mistakes. They played it from an originally lost score which [Pierre] Fournier found in 1940 in a shop and to which someone had apparently added notes and 'corrected it'. Unfortunately, they played the same version in Prague. Karel Šebánek is to arrange with the cellist [Miloš] Sádlo not to play it until he gets the correct score, which will be published by Schott. MM has sent BM a ready-made order regarding financial support for them in Polička, which BM will just sign and send to the bank. From 1 July to 30 December 1955, 500 Kčs each should be paid to MM and František Martinů, for a total of 1000 Kčs per month. If KS writes to BM, he is only to notify him of the amount available in the OSA. MM invites KS to Polička for a holiday. He complains about the cold and rainy weather.
