Content and physical description
ContentThe premiere of the HYMN sung at the festive Mass on 31 July in St James' Church was a great success. The director J[aroslav] Maděra carefully rehearsed it with the choir. [František] Kašpar played the organ. Friends brought them a nice article printed in Svoboda Slova. B[ohuslav Martinů] sent them the poems. No wonder he was so enthusiastic about the memories of the Highlands. He is looking forward to the next premiere in Polička. Perhaps [Karel Šebánek] would come. They got money from the bank for July and August. BM is travelling for a fortnight so they write to 62 rue Pierre Charron, Paris 8. [Miloš] Šafránek will send Maria Martinů the remaining things and she will send KS a list. She wants to organize everything. Then KS could come and look at the manuscripts and see what would be useful.
