Content and physical description
ContentJindřich Honzl writes to Ladislav Boháč about being asked by Bohuslav Martinů to ask the head of the National Theatre Opera if his JULIETTA (SNÁŘ) could be in the repertoire again. He therefore asks LB to find out and to write to him clearly and not in a round and evasive way. For BM, he says, it is an existential question (if the theatre wanted to perform JULIETTA (SNAR), it would pay for the hire of the musical material). He goes on to write that the director, Josef Burda, is "cutting it". He received a letter stating: JH drama director with JB's signature. He learns that JB is cutting his position as drama director. This is another cut at JH's expense. This is not the first time JB has been reprimanded by LB for making unauthorised cuts. JH can't oblige him. JH was expecting LB to get back to him about sick leave and he must have forgotten. He cannot see LB now because he has been in the State Sanatorium since 17 April, where Dr Glücksmann sent him.
