Content[Josef Schieszl] responds to Bohuslav Martinů's letter [SchJ 1935-07-21] in which the composer asked whether it would be possible to pay the entire support from the President of the Republic [Tomáš Masaryk] at once and whether he should submit a new application for this payment. According to JS, the letter already sent to him is abundantly sufficient, there is nothing in it why it could not come into the official files. However, the request will not be dealt with immediately because Dr. [Henry] Riha is on vacation and will not return until the second half of August. But then he will certainly do what he can. JS sends his regards to the hon.
