Content and physical description
ContentHubert Ripka informs Vladimír Clementis of a letter from Bohuslav Martinů in New York, which indicates that he would like to stay abroad for the time being, ideally in France, which provides a suitable environment for the continuation of his own artistic work. HR recommends that the VC support BM's efforts as a suitable promoter of Czechoslovak music abroad, and also believes that BM's unsettled financial circumstances, which have hampered his work, could be suitably assisted. HR further suggests that VC appoint BM as an artistic and cultural expert in France. He will also discuss this matter further with Minister Zdeněk Nejedlý.
