ContentThe letter refers to letter No 2142 of 12 April 1935. It is a confirmation that the complete musical material for Bohuslav Martinů's PLAYS ABOUT MARIA was received on 19 and 28 June 1935, according to the list attached to the letter of 24 May 1935 (No 1870). The postal savings bank's cheque payment slip is for 5 000,- according to the letter of 10 April 1935 (No 1217/35).
The second letter is addressed to the Accounting Office. It is an order to pay the purchase price of 5 000,- for THE PLAYS OF MARIA to the Provincial Theatre in Brno by cheque drawn on the Postal Savings Bank. There is also information that this is to be brought to the attention of the opera archivist Václav Podrábský.
