Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Jiří Tancibudek that he is in Rome until the end of September. JT can't help about the tour, the managers work together, he needs to have one agent in Sydney and another in Europe or the USA, possibly more, but they all have to be paid. BM would like to help with his tour but doesn't know how things are going. Perhaps [Hans] Susskind could advise him. However, the tour is expensive and JT would have to have a lot of engagements to at least cover expenses. BM mentions that he has spoken to Rafael Kubelík, who is now at the opera and is getting ready-made programmes for the concerts. BM has already received his fee and asks how long JT wants to have exclusivity, as various publishers are interested in [CONCERT FOR HOBOY AND SMALL ORCHESTRA] and he would like to see the work in print. BM asks JT to send him the sheet music, broken down on transparency paper, and he is also interested in the changes made to the solo part. BM would like this resolved soon, there is considerable interest in the piece. At the end of the letter BM adds that he will be at the old address in Switzerland from October, which he encloses, and it is to this address that JT is to write to him.
