Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks Jiří Tancibudek for his letter from December and gives him a new address in Paris, which will be valid only until the end of April. BM is going back to Europe, but hopes JT will write back to him in New York to tell him how things are going and when he is playing [CONCERT FOR HOBO AND SMALL ORCHESTRA]. BM is no longer with Boosey & Hawkes, he can give JT exclusivity and have the concert published by them [in Australia] by press. McNicoll has not yet been contacted, still not resolved on payment. BM may settle in Italy, so suggests payment in Italian lyres. He would need the money for the winter, so hopefully DN will get back to him by then. BM is happy that JT likes [CONCERT FOR OOBOE AND SMALL ORCHESTRA] and if JT needs to make changes to the oboe part, BM encourages him to do so. He will meet Rafael Kubelík when he is in Europe and I will talk to him about it. BM concludes the letter by inviting JT to reply as to when the concert will be and if he and DN have agreed on a solution. He will need the money when in Europe but wants to know the possibilities. He also wishes JT every success.
