ContentLouis Moyse replies to Gregory Terian's questions. The picture was taken about twenty years ago in Houston, TX. CONCERTO FOR FLUTE, VIOLIN AND ORCHESTRA, H 252, was proposed by Marcel Moyse to Sergej Kusevickij and it was planned to be performed at the Boston Symphony Orchestra's summer festival in Berkshire - Tanglewood in 1940 with soloists MM and Blanche Honegger, but World War II came. Kusevickij also accepted "Musique de Cour for flute, violin and orchestra" by Jean Françaix, which was planned to be performed in Tanglewood. JF composed the piece especially for MM and BH, the premiere took place under Kusevickij's baton in Paris.
