Content and physical description
ContentLouis Moyse thanks Gregory Terian for a letter. His wife wrote an email, informing GT that he found the pictures and will make copies, but they were not able to send the message. GT will receive three pictures, the first two are from two different biographies on Marcel Moyse. The third one belongs to a cassette he edited himself years ago; it contains the very last appearance in public of MM in the Trio Moyse's frame, at Marlboro Festival (he had asthma and they had to stop). The three profiles in three colours were drew by Andrés Segovia in 1946; LM unfortunately lost the original
and can only send not too good reproduction in miniature. GT will also receive a CD with three works by Bohuslav Martinů: SONATA FOR FLUTE, VIOLIN AND PIANO, H 254, [SONATA FOR FLUTE AND PIANO, H 306?], TRIO FOR FLUTE, VIOLONCELLO AND PIANO, H 300. Cellist Nathan Chaikin was sometimes involved with the "second Moyse Trio". LM also sends a CD of the second Moyse Trio with an arrangement of Trio, H 300, for flute, viola and piano, and as an encore the "Scherzo from Trio with violin". LM mentions NONET No. 2, H 374, which was "coached" and played by him in the Marlboro Festival. He also sends one of his own recitals.
