Thank you for your letter of 3rd October and the solo parts of the “Sinfonia concertante”  by Martinu, which have just arrived. I should like to have another score indeed, if this is possible. What a pity though, the printed score will not be ready for the performance!



                I should like to have the material of the “Sinfonia Concertante” for the library of the Basler Kammerorchester. Are you inclined to sell us a complete orchestra material and what would be its price?



                I have just gone through the soloparts and find that obviously the composer has not seen them before the actual printing. There is a heavy mistake, pages 55 and 56 being inverted. The composer had numbered them wrongly way, i.e. page 55 for page 56 and v.v. I think the parts had best been reprinted at once with the respective corrections.
