Transcription of the letter

Thank you for your letters of the 4th and 9th August, which I found in my office on the way from Salzburg to Harewood.

MARTINU – “SINFONIA CONCERTANTE”

I have told the printers that the 16th October will be sufficient for the delivery of the parts, except for the solo parts which will arrive a fortnight earlier or even before that. However, I am doubtful whether we shall be able to send you another full score in addition to the one you have already received from us. We are trying to have the score printed by the date of your performance but it will not be possible to have it much earlier.

As for the duration, I think we can safely give this as twenty minutes.
