Transcription of the letter | 13th February 1950
Dear Mr. Stein,
I have just received another letter from Martinu telling me that he has asked Boosey & Hawkes in New York to check all performances ot his SINFONIA CONCERTANTE until 8th December, date of the Creation in Basle.
As to the performance in Paris, ha says it could not possibly be his Sinfonia concertante which had been given in that town. There is no material existing yet, unless the only person, Kubelik, whom he has given the score, has copied the parts. The composer is however very anxious to know how you got hold of the information about his Sinfonia having been performed in Paris.
Yours sincerely
Dr. Erwin Stein Esq.
