Transcription of the letter | 27th January 1950
Dear Mr. Stein,
Thank you for your letter from 25th January. I have written to Mr. Martinu immediately to ask what was the matter with his SINFONIA CONCERTANTE, whether the creation had really already taken place in Paris last year. As soon as I know any further details, I shall forward them to you.
Considering that I know the composer, I should advise you to write equally to Mr. Ralph Hawkes, and ask him to get in touch with Martinu directly. I am afraid that Martinu will keep me waiting for an answer.
Yours sincerely
Dr. Erwin Stein Esq.
