ContentThe writer [Wilhelm Strecker] thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his prompt reply of 15 June and for his agreement to the proposal [to send a lump sum for the CONCERTANT SUITE FOR MUSIC AND ORCHESTRA]. The writer could send the sum to him in Nice, but needs a signed contract from BM to do so. The money will reach him about ten days after the payment is approved. He does not yet give the exact title of the piece, but he can add it to the contract later.
It's a pity they won't meet in New York. The writer just listened to the CONCERTO GROSSO conducted by Paul Sacher in Frankfurt yesterday and liked it very much.
