ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks Georges Neveux for agreeing to set his play Le voyage de Thésée [for the opera ARIADNA] to music. He sends him a copy [of the work]. Before sending the work to the competition [Ricordi Prize? in Venice], he would like to discuss royalties with GN. What conditions does he ask for? BM believes that the terms for composers and writers have already been set by SACD. GN has easier access to information than BM now has in the Swiss mountains. BM hopes that GN is back in Paris by now.
The opera is almost finished, BM is writing the piano extract. The competition is anonymous, so GN has yet to talk about the piece.
Around 18 July they [with Charlotte Martinů] will be in Paris, will GN still be there? They also send their regards to Neveux's wife.
