                                                                                                                                     10th January, 1949.

Mr. Paul Sacher,

Schoenenberg,

Pratteln, Basle.

Switzerland.

Dear Mr. Sacher,

Thank you for your letter of January 7th. I quote below the beginning of the violin of the CONCERTO DA CAMERA  I have in mind. The accompaniment of the score is supposed to be for string orchestra, piano and percussion. I should be glad if you would confirm whether this is the work in your possession and I would let you know later whether we are in need of it. In any case, thank you very much for your information. The music is wanted for theOrchestre the Chambre de Lausanne. They intend to play it on April 28th, with Angel Reyes as soloist.

                                                                          Best wishes,

                                                                                         Yours sincerely,

                                                                                         [podpis]

                                                                                         ERWIN STEIN.
