Content and physical description
ContentThe writer is grateful for sending the piano lift of Viktorka and Snow White [presumably meaning Zbyněk Vostřák's ballets] and the German libretto of Snow White. Everything arrived for him this morning. Thanks also for clarifying the instrumentation in the catalogue.
He is pleased that Czechoslovak theatres are interested in GENEITBA. Boosey & Hawkes have all three scores and three volumes of orchestral material, two of which are now in use and one is free. B&H can possibly produce additional material for Dilia. The amount of the rental fee would be set by Dilia according to the normal practice in Czechoslovak theatres. The amount of the fees would depend on whether the piece was performed alone (then it would represent 10% of gross receipts) or with another piece (7%). However, the terms would again be determined by Dilia in light of Czechoslovak custom. Dilia would be entitled to 25 % of the rental and operating fees as set out in the draft contract sent by the writer to Dilia. The piano lifts of ZENITBY are printed with English and German text only. However, the writer asks Bohuslav Martinů if he has the Czech text. He informs Dilia.
