ContentWilhelm Strecker asks Helmut Degen if he would be interested in producing a piano recital of another cello concerto, this time by Bohuslav Martinů [CONCERT FOR VIOLONCELLO AND ORCHESTRA No. 1] over the holidays. The score is 56 pages long and with sparse orchestration. This is a revision of an earlier version, so a substantial part of the completed piano lift could be used. They need to have the manuscript ready by the end of August. If HD is interested in this work, WS will send him the score and two copies of the earlier edition so that he can cut and paste pieces if necessary. The new version should not be much different in the solo cello voice.
