ContentThe Novák Quartet summarises the success of its sixth concert tour of East Germany, 21 June - 4 July 1959, and presents the programme, which included a performance of Bohuslav Martinů's SMITH QUARTET No.5. The ensemble has also had success touring West Germany, but the cost of such trips is very high, as the players have to be compensated by their employers. They therefore ask the Music Department of the Ministry to consider the current situation.
