Content and physical description
ContentLudwig Kaufmann learned from the publisher Ahn & Simrock that Dilia was interested in the piano lift of JULIETTA, which is now in his possession. He of course puts it at Dilia's disposal, but asks for some more clarification.
Over a year ago he had discussed with Boosey & Hawkes about a German translation which they would produce. He worked on it for many months and the text is 3/4 roughly finished.
The provisional translation is entered in the piano lift. The writer will not provide it until he is assured of his rights.
Has Dilia assumed all the rights of B&H? Or does it not concern B&H at all?
Will the rights of LK still be clarified in Dilia? I hope he didn't do the translation for nothing. The final version should be ready in a few weeks. LK is an experienced translator, he translated among others Vincenzo Bellini's Norma for German theatres.
