Content and physical description
ContentThe music department of the Dilia returns to the theatre department a letter from Charlotte Martinů dated 5 April 1968, concerning sample materials for JULIET.
At the request of the ChM, on 15 March 1968 they sent the score, orchestral material and a French-based piano extract of JULIETTA to the Opera de Rouen via the Paris office of Boosey & Hawkes.
Zdeněk Pechold is to inform Charlotte of this and advise her to request her piano extract back from Rouen. They won't need it in Rouen now that they have the material from Dilie. Lining a piano lift with a French text is laborious and it is necessary to have at least 15 lifts with French text for at least one theatre in the foreseeable future.
