ContentThe Dilie's theatre department received information from the accounts office that the Paris branch of Boosey & Hawkes had announced the receipt of 520 francs for the performance of JULIETTA at the Grand Théâtre d'Angers on 25 February 1970 [apparently not until 25 March, see DLA 1970-11-16; the amount covered only the rental fee, see BH 1970-04-02a].
According to Charlotte Martinů's consent, written on 14-6-1967, the French translation of the opera was entrusted to Anna Maria Wurm and Eleuthère Lovreglio. If the opera is performed with this translation, 50% of the translation fees must be paid by B&H in Paris. The translators will receive a 1% share of the total fees, which are 10% of the theatre's gross income for each performance.
In the meantime, the Dilia asks B&H to deposit the relevant amount with the Dilia and to communicate to them all related accounting entries. Based on this, Dilia will make an accounting of the royalty.
