Content and physical description
ContentAnnie Friedberg discovered correspondence from Elisabeth Sprague-Coolidge after arriving in New York. She immediately contacted [Merritt] Tompkins and sent him a cheque for $65 [for the rental of material for the Concerto for the Bohuslav Martinů String Quartet and Orchestra]. AF also telephoned the Pro Arte Quartet and arranged a meeting with its members. She hopes the concert and broadcast will be a success. She is also looking forward to the repertoire that the quartet and the ESC have selected for the coming season. She already has three concert dates. She is sure that PAQ will have another successful tour, which will probably extend into next year. AF would also like to arrange a performance by Roman Totenberg at the Library of Congress. ESC has already heard his playing in Washington. AF would be happy for ESC to put in a good word with William Strunk on this matter.
