Content and physical description
ContentVirgilio Mortari was informed by a telegram from the music agency and a message from Jaromír Fučík that a concert had been successfully arranged for 22 September [1958; Italian premiere of OPENING THE STUDIOS] at the music festival.
He is satisfied with the programme communicated to him by JF and asks for confirmation of the works to be performed in the world premiere: Emil Hlobil, "L'ottetto" and Albert Pek "Piccola Cantata".
He knows that the works by Leoš Janáček and Bohuslav Martinů will be performed for the first time in Italy, and with regard to BM's composition, this will be the first performance in Western countries. He asks for confirmation of this information.
He asks for the duratas of the individual works to be communicated and for brief information on the composers and the works to be performed. In particular, he asks for one copy of all the compositions to be sent to him so that he can familiarise himself with them.
