ContentMiloslav Bureš sends Zdeněk Zouhar a proof copy of the entire lyric text [OPENING THE STUDENTS]. Zouhar's remarks [in the previous letter] are certainly correct; after reading the manuscript of the poem, which will be published in book form in this way, Zouhar will surely decide what is needed to make the composition sound as good as possible.
Yesterday Karel Šebánek was at MB's and borrowed his score and is having it reproduced according to the comments sent by Bureš and Zouhar [see letter of 28 July 1955, ID 5586]. With the material, Šebánek will remember especially Zouhar, so that they will not be busy reproducing it.
Bureš is looking forward to the performance in Polička, he was there on Sunday and met Maria Martinu. He gave her the new compositions of B. Martinů, which the composer had sent to him together with the score of THE OPENING OF THE STUDIOS. Perhaps the lyric cycle will be published in a book with illustrations by Cyril Bouda or Alois Moravec to accompany the Polička premiere.
