Content and physical description
ContentCharlotta Martinů informs Zdeněk Pechold that she received his letter of 21 December [1967, the letter was apparently about JULIETTA] too late. She had already sent a cheque to Anna Maria Wurm. They will discuss this question together in March when ChM is in Prague.
She is glad that ZP may own the translation. She got one herself along with the libretto, which she will send to Pechold soon. She is currently reading both texts. She hopes that ZP will be satisfied with the translation and nothing will prevent him from signing a contract for the film. However, ZP must ask for the same amount that Miloš Šafránek would have received for his translation. ChM asks Pechold to have the material produced as soon as possible. She has received a message from Didier Duclos that the Rouen [Opéra de Rouen Haute Normandie] is interested in JULIET and has written to him that the French translation is finally ready and he can make contacts.
He encloses an excerpt from AMW's letter. In it she acknowledges receipt of the cheque. She gave part of the money to Eleuthère Lovreglio, and kept part.
