ContentHe thanks Charlotte for her greetings, says he liked Prague (Ansermet conducted Stravinsky's Symphony in Three Movements at the Prague Spring Festival on 12.5); he is looking forward to seeing her in New York soon and is eager to hear his symphony (No.5, first performance in the USA, NBC Orchestra, 24.1.1948); has not had a chance to listen to it over the radio, but has heard wonderful reports from friends who have heard it in Europe, and also from Charlotte who has been in Paris; would like to ask if he could bring the orchestral materials of the symphony with him, A. has the only one that exists; is beginning to recover; is preparing to return to Prague next spring.
