Content and physical description
ContentThe premiere date of the violin concerto [CONCERT FOR VIOLIN AND ORCHESTRA No. 1] is approaching. At the request of Dr. Parsons, who is writing the programme for the premiere, Hans Moldenhauer has written some important notes. In the meantime, he has also been contacted by Norddeutscher Rundfunk to write a programme for a performance in January 1974. His notes on the programme are limited to the history of the manuscript and do not concern the analysis of the work at all. He also sends them to Suk so that his agent can further distribute the text. HM has written to Dr. Pauer of the Czech Philharmonic to ask if he could be present at the European premiere in Prague, but has not yet received any reply. He asks JS to intervene on this issue so that he can make travel arrangements in time. At the end of his letter HM repeats his request to obtain the music manuscript and some handwritten letters from Josef Suk Sr. for his archive.
