Content and physical description
ContentWilhelm Strecker may see Samuel Dushkin on his way to Prague. WITH B. Martinů it is now clear. The main thing is that he got an answer. Strecker himself had to admit that the piano account of the concerto is too heavy [CONCERTO FOR HUSSLE AND ORCHESTRA No. 1], but Martin's orchestration is unreproducible on the piano and a performance with piano seems to him very unrealistic. At the piano one has to give up a great deal and only he himself must know which voices to let out. In this form, the piano lift is more like a condensed orchestral score.
He again mentions [Stravinsky's] 'Pastorale'.
