Content and physical description
ContentWilhelm Strecker writes that he has sent the score of Martinů's violin concerto [CONCERT FOR VIOLIN AND ORCHESTRA No. 1] for the production of a piano lift, hoping to send it to him within three weeks at the latest. To them all here it seems an excellent work and with excellent instrumentation. He is convinced that Dushkin will be pleasantly surprised by the orchestral sound. Once the piano lift is complete, he asks Dushkin to make corrections as soon as possible.
He also asks how he is getting on with Stravinsky's "Pastorale". He is unaware of Walther's change and asks Dushkin if MEROVITCH could work for him in America.
