Content and physical description
ContentSamuel Dushkin writes that he worked with Bohuslav Martinů. [CONCERT FOR HOUSEL AND ORCHESTRA No.1] is now complete except for a few details. He finds it very effective, highly brilliant. He is now so deeply immersed in the work and is always worrying about the details that he is unable to give an opinion on the music as a whole [?]. It is, in his opinion, the quality of Dvořák's music but much better executed technically than Dvořák's. In any case, Dushkin hopes that the concert will be a success for the performer. He also mentions that he gave Martin some money some time ago and mentions his share. He believes that Strecker will tell the publisher Schott that he has handed over this amount [?]
