Content and physical description
ContentWilhelm Strecker mentions the matter of the corrections to the edition by J. G. Benda and the orchestration by Pergolesi. He writes that Bohuslav Martinů is a nice man and a great artist. He will do what he can for him, but now publishing quartets and symphonies is a great luxury and there is no money to be made in it. But in any case he is convinced that their joint collaboration will produce an extraordinary concert [CONCERT FOR HOUSEL AND ORCHESTRA No. 1]. He therefore advises Dushkin to stay in Paris so that he can work with Martinů. "Persuade him, for example, to pay 150 dalars for a monopoly for six months, of which we will transfer 50 to the copyright." He goes on to mention other circumstances of payment for the concert. In Prague and Bohemia, where they perform every Martinů work, he will be able to perform it right away.
