Content and physical description
ContentSamuel Dushkin tells Wilhelm Schott that he played Pergolesi last Sunday. He wants Bohuslav Martinů's help with the orchestration [of Pergolesi?]. Martinů is due to leave at the beginning of July. Martinů is a good companion, he says, and has a very exceptional musical feeling for the violin. Dushkin describes the problems of the beginning of the collaboration on the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 1. BM's music can be very pleasing and effective for anyone. He goes on to discuss the problems with Stravinsky's violin concerto.
